 What is CTET?

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national test, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year twice to determine the eligibility requirements for applicants. Candidates are appointed as teachers for classes 1-8.

Candidates have the option to select either paper 1 and Paper 2 as per their needs. Candidates who are looking to become an instructor in the classes 1-5, are able to take the Paper 1 exam. Those who wish to instruct students in the class 6-8 must appear for Paper 2. Paper 2 exam.

CBSE CTET Eligibility 2021 Criteria

CTET Eligibility Criteria are defined in the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). There are distinct requirements for the CBSE CTET Exam in Paper 1, and Paper 2. CBSE CTET Age Limit

To be eligible for the test there is no upper age limit for applicants in any class. But, candidates must be at least 17 to be eligible for the CTET 2021 examination.

CBSE CTET Education Criteria

The most basic requirement for the CTET Exam requires you that you have completed high school or graduated with at least 50% marks in aggregate and have a teacher training program. The following are the specific education requirements:

CTET Admissions 2021 for paper 1:To apply for CTET Paper 1 test, candidates must have completed senior secondary or equivalent , with at least 50% marks, as well as be in or be in the final year of the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or four-year bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

CTET eligibility 2021 for Paper 2. To be eligible for the CTET Paper 2 exam, the candidate must possess an undergraduate degree in the discipline of study with at minimum 50% marks and must have passed or appeared in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
